Melissa McHenry, MAT

Educational Consultant

I am an author and educator with close to two decades of experience teaching English Language Arts in grades 7-12 in NYC. I have also designed and facilitated professional learning experiences for teachers and school leaders for nearly as long. My experience and expertise as an educator with a focus on culturally responsive and sustaining teaching deeply informs my approach to Christian education.

I am a graduate of Queens College, CUNY with a BA in English, Brown University with an MAT in English/Arts Literacy, and the College of Saint Rose with an advanced certificate in educational leadership. I am currently enrolled in Drew Theological School pursuing an M.Div in Social Justice Advocacy.

My experience as both a Christian educator as well as a designer and facilitator of professional development have prepared me to support schools, districts and churches in reaching for excellence in education.
